Doing things differently since the Carter Administration
Thank you for taking the time to read my short book. When I began this assignment for class, I was kind of glad I had made a magical object that I could easily carry. I had some really insightful conversations with all of my subjects. The vape shop interviewees demonstrated how collaboration and risk-sharing are borne from even the very thought of creativity. Their team effort to come up with ideas for what makes a person creative related exactly to the themes that we’ve been discussing in class.
Erin and An both had insightful thoughts into the creative process. An and Erin mentioned they have creative projects that they were putting off, and time was a major factor for both of them. An suggested issues with confidence in her own ability to put forth creativity, as she compared herself to others often, rather than “finding” herself in her own artwork.
Chris is a writer and he currently manages a startup whose job, essentially, is to come up with creative, new, and exciting ideas every single day of the week. Chris also mentioned he draws from current events for his creative inspirations. He is currently working on several writing projects, one of which is set to become a multi-volume collection.
I hope to continue talking to people regarding creativity— at least to get them thinking about it— as it is an important aspect of a healthy functioning society.
